Ginelle Barry

Certified Birth Doula specializing in: Mother-centered care, trauma-informed support, education & advocacy, and support for women from all walks of life.

Ginelle’s path to birth work was shaped over decades of walking closely with mothers. As a foster mom, she supported many teen mothers through pregnancy and birth, witnessing both the beauty of birth and the gaps in care that can leave women feeling alone. Those experiences revealed a deep calling to stand beside women during one of the most formative moments of their lives. She believes birth is a rite of passage, a moment where women step into their strength and discover what they carry within themselves. With a strong emphasis on education, advocacy, and faith centered support, Ginelle helps women understand their options, trust their intuition, and approach birth with confidence and clarity. She is also the founder of Valiant Birth Collective and is deeply committed to creating care that ensures women feel supported, informed, and never alone. Beyond Birth Work: Ginelle loves spending time in nature, hiking to waterfalls, playing board games and cards, listening to live jazz, and reading historical fiction. She enjoys international travel, sharing good food, and making memories with her grandchildren. Her deep love for Hispanic culture has been shaped by years of fostering children from Central America.

Rebecca Messer_edited.jpg

Rebecca Messer, RN-BSN

Certified Birth Doula specializing in:

Steady, reassuring presence in birth, thoughtful preparation, honoring physiologic birth, and personal advocacy.

From an early age, Rebecca felt drawn to women’s health and the sacred work of supporting mothers and babies. That calling led her into labor and delivery nursing, where she spent years caring for women through labor, birth, postpartum, and lactation support. While working in the hospital, Rebecca encountered doula care firsthand, witnessing the steady presence, advocacy, and attentiveness doulas offered families during physiologic, natural births—an experience that gradually reshaped her own approach to birth work. Over time, Rebecca felt a growing desire to help protect undisturbed birth, deep bonding, and a mother’s confidence in her own body and intuition. She realized this calling would be best lived out as a doula, transitioning fully into dedicated doula work in 2024 after more than a decade in birth care. She brings a calm, grounded presence and a deep respect for the strength and courage it takes to grow, birth, and nurture a child. With a faith-centered perspective, Rebecca views birth as a powerful and formative experience—one that leaves a lasting imprint on the mother, her baby, and the family being formed. She believes preparation and education create space for confidence and calm, allowing women to approach pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with clarity and informed agency. Beyond Birth Work: Rebecca loves cooking and baking, reading, hiking the state parks of the Upstate, homeschooling her four daughters, morning walks to welcome the day, and listening to birth story podcasts. She grew up in Europe, is bilingual, and a native German speaker.
